I am very disappointed that the Lecturer has misinformed viewers that art in Sub Saharan Africa did not survive time and therefore will be underrepresented in these segments. Im glad I majored in African History in undergrad because this is untrue. This is very untrue. We know art and structures survived in Africa from socities like Zimbabwe, Meroe, Cush Empire, Timbuktu, Kongo, Bantu expansion and Mali. I cant believe Sub Saharan Africa had no segment of its self. This is ethnocentrism at its best. The idea that civilization and history began in Europe. I am boycotting the watching of these series because of this balatant disregard for the contributions Africans had in world art history. I give this series ten thumbs down. Absolutely awful.
