Are You Agreeable? Conscientious? Open?

Lecture no. 3 from the course: Why You Are Who You Are: Investigations into Human Personality

Are You Agreeable? Conscientious? Open?

Taught by Professor Mark Leary | 32 min | Categories: The Great Courses Plus Online Science Course

Examine the three remaining building blocks of personality. You’ll learn about agreeableness, the degree to which you have a positive or negative orientation toward others; conscientiousness, the degree to which you’re responsible; and openness, or your receptivity to new experiences and idea. Plus, consider a sixth personality trait that’s starting to get attention.

I think you need to appreciate the subject for what it is first, personality research is quite general and (to an extent) unscientific so it makes sense for the lecture to be conducted that way. I'm not crazy about the way he says the same thing over and over, however I realise that it helps retain the information so I'll power through it. Overall good stuff, well presented, very informative.
