Plan the Garden of Your Dreams

Lecture no. 1 from the course: How to Grow Anything: Your Best Garden and Landscape in 6 Lessons

Plan the Garden of Your Dreams

Taught by Professor Melinda Myers | 33 min | Categories: The Great Courses Plus Online Hobby & Leisure Courses

A dream garden starts with two things: an awareness of what you have to do and a solid plan for getting there. Ms. Myers gives you an overview of the step-by-step process for creating a garden, guiding you through the process of weeding old garden spaces; testing your soil; evaluating growing conditions; picking the best topsoil; using annuals, perennials, and biennials to best effect; and mapping out your garden with the space available.

Wow. I wish North American gardeners would take a page from British gardeners' books... Why do all N. American hosts sound so unnatural and annoying. Please watch Gardener's World and learn from Monty Don. Also, why is everything gardening-related so cheesily-assembled. Please get better graphic designers and editors to make this more engaging. Sorry for being harsh, but I am fed up. Maybe I just have to start my own gardening show here in QC.
