Rated 2 out of 5 by from Add, but don't expect too much For the original price. I was expecting so much more from this video. Sample charts were nice but nothing really new if you have any watercolor experience. I wouldn't recommend buying the course but would lend it out to friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Series to Help a Beginner Get Started Did some watercolor painting on a cruise just for fun and was really intrigued. Other than kid's water colors as a child and a high school semester in art class I really knew just a bit about colors and how to mix them. As part of my continuing education as a retired person, I looked for a course that could help me better understand color and the watercolor medium...and this was a super great choice. Kateri is an excellent instructor, leading the participant through all the fundamentals and then on to application. She is well prepared, thorough, clear in her instruction and inspiring. Absolutely a great choice especially for a beginner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A repeat of some of the info given in the professor's other course, but so important to warrant it's own course, and goes deeper into the subject. The added breakdowns of color mixing and charting is critical to understanding painting in general, and in this case watercolor painting in particular since mixing a transparent medium can be tricky. The professor's presentation style is wonderful, you never feel confused or rushed by the info she gives, and the extra detail on specific tools she uses and how she uses them is exactly the sort of invaluable info you get from great art tutors. Those details are what can transition beginners and intermediates into being advanced painters. I searched the entire course catalog a couple of times to see if she had any other courses available lol. As I've said in other reviews I've given I happen to be an advanced-level artist, but she included detail and tips that were even vitally helpful for me. HIGHLY recommend her, and will watch for any courses she may offer in future.
