Those famous lines in the desert. While I won't spoil the Professor's opinion, he sadly dismisses Alien activity. Apparently the desert is too soft too make for a good landing site for any kind of aircraft, extraterrestrial or otherwise. More seriously, the water management of these people was amazing. This system is far more advanced than rural areas of third world countries today. Given the limited materials and technologies available, this water system is a truly remarkable achievement.
