Nothing against the professors presentation. It was fine. However, it was apparent from his analysis that he does not subscribe to the bible as the inspired word of God, but rather as man made literature. His description of some of the prophetic writings posing the author as using literary devices in the way he presented the books was a bit absurd since these prophets were not professional writers but oftentimes simple people with no literary background. Found the course in general to be a superficial approach to the bible that didn't do a whole lot to expand my knowledge of its overall message. i think Reformationists like R.C. Sproul of Ligonier Ministries offer a much more comprehensive and in depth treatment of the books of the bible with more relevant application to the Christian wanting some help with penetrating the meaning of the Bible. This course didn't do it for me. Still I gave it 3 stars because the instructor did present the information well, even if I don't accept his mindset to the topic.
