Interesting approach! I have background in psychology so I was really excited upon finding out that you used more psychological approach in constructing stories for screenplays. I feel like I will understand the course better because of the approach :). Also, good and engaging presentation. Thank you so much for sharing.

Disappointing as far as the title goes. To echo 2 other reviewers, this is more an appreciation class than a solid how to make you more successful screenwriter. Successful screenwriting if far more than he implies with his extravagant droning on about reverse engineering. If Professor Angus' superficial thinking is so prevalent it could be why excellent screenwriting is so rare. As another review so aptly pointed out, Robert McKee is a superior choice of any information on this topic. Easy to Google, too. It's a pity that a presenter with better information couldn't have been hired for these lecturers since so many excellent ones have been found for other topics. While his presentation technique is easy enough to watch I think certainly someone with more real world successful credits is out there to impart actual screenwriting. If the lecture series title were changed to " A Glimpse Into Screenwriting" rather than "Mastering" it would be more accurate and possibly deserve another star.

I loved this course. Professor Fletcher presents a series that is both entertaining and enlightening. So many courses on Screenwriting seem to rehash the same tired perspectives, but these lectures actually brought me lots of material I haven't heard or read a million times before. Great course. Highly recommended for all writers and TV/film enthusiasts.
