Great insight about creativity, but need lots of practice to apply it

I bought this course hoping it would help me organize my creative impulses, but I was half afraid that it would focus only on business-type creativity, things like developing business products and supervising projects. It's exactly what I was looking for. The instructor uses examples of lack of creative thinking from many different areas, such as the way Deca Records passed up on signing the Beatles because "guitar bands were on their way out," and gives examples of applications in a variety of situations from deciding on a weekend activity with his kids to the way Bob Hope decided what jokes to use in his routines. There are business applications, too, but it's not limited to them. It's well-organized, dividing his tools into discrete sections and then building on them as he progresses.
