Rated 1 out of 5 by from Course Outline What good is a course outline with multiple pages for taking notes if you can’t print the darn thing! The only way to print it is to screenshot each page, an extremely time intensive process. Are all the courses set up this way?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and Vernacular Good course on financial basics. Simple and vernacular in delivery. Keeps you engaged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Start Now "Start Late" is an amusing concept. Funny how many people think starting to work on their finances in their thirties is late! Try starting in your sixties! {grin} Probably the most important concepts in this course are "start now", "automatic" (set up saving / investing so you aren't thinking about it or working at it) and "latte" factor (no matter how low your income is, choices you make can improve your future). David is a friendly, fun presenter, easy to listen to. Nothing boring, nothing complex (which means some of the examples are rather simple and don't dive into details). This is a refreshing course as it's not really about getting rich (the title is quite misleading) but rather it's about managing your finances to enjoy your life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Informative and Practical! I'm in my early 30s being one of those whom you can consider a late starter. Just six episodes in and I have already learned so much from this course! Highly recommended for those like me who don't know where to start and want to better their finances.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Start Late, Finish Rich Not worth the sale price. In my estimation, this should not be included in the Great Courses, It does not measure up to the quality of the other courses. In general, it is one big advertisement for Bach's printed book. Also, the Guide Book is lacking in content and does not follow the lectures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical and Actionable Tools I listened to this course on Wondrium on a whim. I’m in my early fifties and have a decent retirement plan but wish I had heard this seminar twenty years ago. I’m now rewatching with my 88 year old mother so she understands some of the changes that I’ve made over the last couple of weeks. She says it is an A+ course that is immensely practical. First, he is practical and inclusive. His recommendations are ones that everyone can use - not just employees but also self-employed and business owners. His focus is on folks with middle-class incomes, but the advice applies at all incomes. I’m not a dimwit about money but I learned so much about newer tools which can make tracking and decision making easier. His advice also helped me to make up my mind about several forks in my own financial road. It is not a traditional Great Course (I own 130) but is one of the most impactful that I have taken. When it is on sale, I plan to purchase as gifts for multiple friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Financial Advice I'm self-employed with a fluctuating income and a family of 5, so I often get bogged down in difficult financial decisions such as, "do I pay off 100% of the balance of my credit card this month or put money in my retirement account and pay off most of it?" Overall, this course has provided me with a lot of insight into ways I can manage my finances more intelligently and easily. I read "I will Teach you to Be Rich" by Ramit Sethi some years ago and he hit on some of the same points but I still gained quite a bit from these lectures. The video format helps to make the material more enjoyable and easier to digest. Bach is an entertaining speaker overall. I would also like to address the very negative review I just read. This isn't a "great courses" course. This is a Creative Live feature that is incorporated because this is Wondrium now and it partners with other types of content providers, such as Kino Lorber documentaries and so forth. If you are living in a society where you must work, earn money, save for retirement, take care of a family, manage inheritance, not get crushed by debt, and keep a credit score (i.e. anywhere outside of some ivory tower) then a financial education is valuable, all hyperbole about "capitalism" aside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice refresher It is enjoyable to open up your finances and follow along with this course. It was exciting to tweak a few accounts and sometimes sad to remember the mistakes I have made in the past. The quibbles I have with Bach's approach have to do with my own personal preferences. I can work around those and still gain tremendous value. I am completely convinced that my Wondrium subscription has made a huge improvement to my financial future.
