Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shows promise for a more digestible course on Ital It would be wonderful if this very knowledgeable professor developed an entire course on Italy including guidebook more along the lines of Professor John Greene’s course on France. I am going to tentatively give this course on Venice five in hopes that it will expand to the entire peninsula but in a more digestible way. Please see the France lectures and guidebook by Professor Green.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good presentation! It is obvious that professor is a "Venice-ologist", who is passionate, knowledgeable and eager to show us around in this short travel series. I think if it is being watched VR format, this would have been a great presentation. Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like being there By far the best I've seen on Venice. What was missing? I would have liked to have seen inside the Doge's palace.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A quick overview I enjoyed the course and as others have commented, it is short and not really a ''course'' but rather an ''appetizer.'' However, that's what I liked about it! It helps if you've been to Venice and I can't wait to go back. I will use this course to plan my next trip and visit so many of the interesting sites and locations the professor highlights as I missed many during my first visit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fairly superficial It was nice to visit Venice even if virtual. This was a quick and fairly superficial "tour" of a great city. It does give you some the highlights you might want to visit if you go there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent overview A short overview of any location is alway a welcomed way to get into a location. Details can always be found via google and other sources after a good foundational introducation. This professor had a great humor evident by some of his comments. He was enjoyable to watch. I great appreciate this type of short and sweet overview.
