Rated 2 out of 5 by from For absolute beginners - as in "never ever cooked. I've treed to watch several of these Craftsy series, and I can never get past more than two of them. This one was no exception. They might be helpful for the absolute beginner cook. Having just received an air fryer, I hoped for a quick and informative introduction to what it can do for me. I ended up reading the manual that came with the machine, which told me more, give better recipes, and didn't talk down to me as if it were about to sell me a time share. I hated the background music that plays too long over the presenter, and then I had the presenter talking as if he were teaching sixth graders. I know how to slice onions and peppers. I know what a "chicken tender" is. What I wanted to know -- and didn't get from the two demos I was able to sit through -- was why do I want to do this in an air fryer instead of any other way. It seems to be the same with the entire Craftsy line-up: awful background music, presenters who come off like QVC hosts or bloggers, and presentations geared to the lowest common denominator. Not the level of information I expect from The Teaching Company, and does not add value to my subscription.
