Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a lecture I think some people come into this series looking for lectures. This is no professor stranding at a podium telling you about history or science or literature. Think of these as more like inspirational talks. The idea of the series is that there was wisdom in our ancestors that we can refocus on today. Most of it is stuff you've heard-- better diet, get out walking, gratitude. But Prince EA really inspires with his messages. He uses experts in various fields to give perspective to each inspirational talk. Maybe I've rated it too high for some, but I came away ready to make some changes to my life to follow some of that ancient wisdom in my life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Your Life: It's all here! If you are concerned about your mental or physical improvement, you've already heard/read about most of these ancient practices and wisdom to better your life. Having practiced martial arts for over 50 years (the pathway between self-defense and self-discovery. www.robertoshidokan.com) many of these practices ring true to me. Here are the basic/key practices to your happiness presented in a concise, interesting manner that will support many of your current practices and maybe stretch, change, or modify other personal practices. We are a product of our environment. I enjoyed this presentation and hope you will, too. Each presentation is about 30 minutes long. Subject experts are interviewed to support practice suggestions. Most of these practices are based on ancient wisdom (some from ancient texts 6 to 8,000 years old) that we have heard or read about but may have never taken consistent action on them. Here is the encouragement to do so. So do it! (That is more of a command for me than for you!) I continue working on improving my happiness.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Entertaining and Fun The course was entertaining and fun to watch. No slides no reading. No earth shattering information. No really in depth analysis of ancient philosophy but then it wasn't the purpose of the course. It was simple entertain and fun to watch.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A teleological stroll through the obvious. Should be in school? Maybe 2nd grade. Spoiler alert: Take a walk, think and eat a Mediterranean diet. You're welcome. Also VERY loosely quotes almost every author of "ancient wisdom" that is cited. Some areas are just incorrect. (for example, people in the blue zones all eat beans but not all eat lentils as stated here.) There are much better series that discuss ancient philosophies in Wondrium and are much more accurate as well from my point of view. This one could have used some peer review before publishing.
