I am an avid reader and intellectual and I love the Great Courses. I have enjoyed them thoroughly for over two decades. This professor seems to be so caught up in rhetoric, in using big words and in lofty speech that he doesn't convey any concrete understanding of this great work. Rather, he produces a nebulous cloud of concepts that render the points St. Augustine makes almost completely unintelligible. I endured these lectures instead of enjoying them.
